Atenolol 100 mg Tablets

Atenolol (Tenormin^®) is a prescription drug licensed to treat high blood pressure and angina symptoms. It can also be used to improve survival following a heart attack. Atenolol comes in tablet form and is available in three strengths, including:

25 mg atenolol tablets
50 mg atenolol tablets
100 mg atenolol tablets.

The recommended starting atenolol dosage for people with high blood pressure is 50 mg once a day. Based on your response to the medication after a couple of weeks, the dosage may be increased or decreased as needed. The maximum recommended dose for high blood pressure treatment is a 100 mg tablet, once daily.

The recommended starting dosage for people with angina is atenolol 50 mg, taken once a day. After one week, based on your response to the drug, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your dosage.
