Amturnide Drug Interactions

If you combine alcohol, potassium-containing products, ACE inhibitors, or various other drugs with Amturnide, potentially serious interactions may occur. Some of these reactions can increase the potassium levels in your blood or cause other complications. To help avoid problems, make sure your healthcare provider knows about all medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking.

An Overview of Interactions With Amturnide

 Amturnide® (aliskiren-amlodipine-hydrochlorothiazide) may react with a number of other medications. Some of the products that may lead to drug interactions with Amturnide include:
 
  • ACE inhibitors, such as:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  • Potassium-containing products, such as:
 
    • Potassium chloride (K-Dur®, Klor-Con®, Micro-K®)
    • Potassium citrate (Urocit-K®, Polycitra-K®)
    • Potassium gluconate
    • Potassium phosphate (Neutra-Phos-K®, K-Phos®)
    • Salt substitutes (used to flavor food)
