Who Should Not Take Adalat?

You should not take Adalat CC if you are:
 
  • Allergic to Adalat CC, nifedipine, or any of the inactive components used to make Adalat CC. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients used to make Adalat CC.

 

  • Taking rifampin, a medication which may make Adalat CC much less effective. 

 

  • In cardiogenic shock (a state in which the heart is unable to supply enough blood to the rest of the body).
     

Adalat Warnings and Precautions: Summary

There are several situations in which Adalat CC should not be taken, along with a number of precautions and warnings people should be aware of with Adalat CC.
