Adalat Drug Interactions

Some Adalat CC drug interactions can alter the levels of certain drugs in your blood and cause your body to metabolize the drugs differently than intended. Among the drugs that Adalat CC can potentially interact with are certain antibiotics, beta blockers, and some seizure medications. Some of these interactions can increase your risk of side effects, such as low blood pressure, bleeding, and congestive heart failure.

An Overview of Adalat Drug Interactions

 Adalat CC® (nifedipine) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of these medicines that may lead to Adalat CC drug interactions include:
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, including:

 

    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Neoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Quinupristin and dalfopristin (Synercid®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
