Generic Accuretic

In the case of Accuretic, generic versions of the medication are available. Generic Accuretic is sold under the names Quinaretic tablets and Quinapril HCL-Hydrochlorothiazide tablets.

Generic for Accuretic: An Overview

Accuretic® (quinapril HCL-hydrochlorothiazide) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Accuretic is a combination of two medicines -- Accupril® and hydrochlorothiazide.
 
Accuretic was originally developed by Pfizer. It has since come off patent, making it available as a generic.
 

Generic Accuretic -- Strengths

Generic Accuretic is sold under the names
 Quinaretic™ tablets and Quinapril HCL-Hydrochlorothiazide tablets. Quinaretic tablets are available in several strengths, including:
 
  • Quinaretic 10 mg/12.5 mg -- which has 10 mg of quinapril HCL and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide
  • Quinaretic 20 mg/12.5 mg -- which has 20 mg of quinapril HCL and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide
  • Quinaretic 20 mg/25 mg -- which has 20 mg of quinapril HCL and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide.
 
Quinaretic tablets are made by Amide Pharmaceutical, Inc. Quinapril HCL-Hydrochlorothiazide tablets are made by Mylan Laboratories and are available in similar strengths.
